An addition enlarges your main home — more bedroom, more family room, same household. An ADU is a separate self-contained dwelling on the same lot, with its own entrance, that can house family independently or be rented long-term. If the space needs its own front door, it's an ADU; if it doesn't, it's an addition. We build both and will compare them honestly for your lot.
Remodeling is planned improvement — you choose to redo a kitchen, bath, or whole home on your schedule. Restoration is emergency response and repair after water, mold, or fire damage, where speed decides how big the loss gets.
